Breast Lift with Implants
Corrects sagging and volume loss in one operation.
Approximate timings reflect the practice information supplied for Op. Dr. Soner Tezcan. Additional procedures, health and recovery may change the plan. Surgery, stay and activity plans are confirmed during consultation and follow-up.
What is it?
This combines a breast lift with implant placement for both shape and fullness.
Who is it for?
People whose breasts have both sagged and lost volume, especially after pregnancy.
How is it done?
A suitable implant is placed, then excess skin is removed and the breast lifted.
Recovery
Approximate return to work/social life: 7–10 days. This does not mean full recovery or clearance for exercise or flying. Swelling and tissue settling may take longer and are reviewed during follow-up.
What is a breast lift with implants?
When there is both sagging and volume loss, a lift and an implant are performed in the same operation. The lift raises the breast and nipple, while the implant restores fullness, especially in the upper breast.
Planning, incision and implant
An anchor incision is generally used. Placement under the muscle, over the muscle or dual plane is chosen according to breast tissue, chest width and the desired look. Mentor or Polytech implants are preferred and you receive the implant card.
Surgery and recovery
Surgery takes about 2–3 hours under general anaesthesia, usually with 1 night in hospital. A drain may be used. Return to work takes about 7–10 days. A sports bra is worn for 4–6 weeks, with a breast band pressing on the upper breast to help the implant settle. Breast massage is not recommended and sport is resumed gradually after check-ups.
Aftercare and follow-up
- One or two checks are planned before departure according to the return date. A flight report is provided; fitness and timing for travel require medical assessment. Anti-embolism stockings form part of the care plan.
- Antibiotics, pain relief, stomach protection and antibiotic ointment are used only as prescribed. Dose, application site and duration are individual; do not start treatment independently.
- Absorbable sutures are used; routine stitch removal is not planned. Scar cream is started after wound closure at the time advised by the surgeon.
- Drains are used for lifts and procedures involving liposuction; removal is determined by the surgeon during follow-up.
- A support bra is worn for approximately 4–6 weeks. Breast massage is not recommended. Massage instructions for lifts/liposuction do not apply to the breasts.
- Mentor or Polytech implants are used and the implant card is provided. Implant and placement selection depend on anatomy.
- General activity plan: gentle walking in week one; light exercise after week two; regular sport after month one; weight lifting after month two. Every stage requires review and surgeon clearance; some procedures need longer restrictions.
Frequently asked questions
Can a lift and implants be done in one operation?
Yes. When sagging and volume loss occur together, both can be done in the same operation.
Why is a breast band used?
It presses on the upper breast and helps the implant settle into place.
